Position Title: General Manager for EquityX Portfolio Company Specializing in Flooring and Installation
Location: Florida or Texas.
Reports To: EquityX COO.

As part of our mission, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead one of our premier portfolio companies, a leading Flooring and Installation company based in Florida or Texas.

 

Position Overview:

We are searching for a visionary General Manager to oversee a company within our portfolio that specializes in flooring and installation services. The General Manager will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations, including sales, marketing, production, and financial performance. This role requires a strong background in construction, team management, and inventory control, along with proven experience in driving business growth and profitability.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity across all departments.
• Drive sales and marketing initiatives to expand market presence and increase revenue.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Lead and mentor the executive team, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

• Oversee construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
• Manage and coordinate teams of installers, subcontractors, and other construction personnel.
• Ensure effective inventory management, including ordering, storage, and distribution of materials.
• Develop and maintain schedules and workflows to optimize project efficiency and resource utilization.
• Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in construction or flooring installation.
• Proven track record of driving business growth and profitability.
• Strong financial acumen and experience with P&L management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
• Experience in managing construction projects and teams.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and logistics.
